ARHHGGG HATS!!

Soooo This is my third time trying to make this hat and it doesn't look good. I made the first one for my friend's Birthday and it came out really well she loved it. Then I wanted to make my own with Jack Skellington's face on it, but for some reason my gauge is not adding up and its not coming out right!!! I am so frustrated with it right now!! but I am not giving up!! I will complete this hat before Halloween!!!

2nd Week Assignment!!!

So this week we were asked... What 5 things would you not leave home without if you were going into hiding, camping, or running away and WHY.

Well If I were to run away I would take

1. My Laptop and necessary lap top things (charger, laptop bag)

It would serve as a connection to the outside world. Now that I have deserted my former life I need a way to create a new identity to start all over. Plus I can google anything I want =).

2. A suitcase full of clothing

I am definitely going to be needing clothes!!!

3. Cash!

Cash is secure nowadays, cant have the police tracking me from my credit cards now =)

4. Passport

Well If I am running away I better be going somewhere amazing!! preferably outside of the US

5. Knitting

I gotta have my current WP, I might just go insane with out it!!!

That was fun!!! hmm I might make this trip a reality....some day =P

Hayswarts!!!!!!

Welcome to Hayswarts home of college and campus life! Our hall decided on a Harry Potter theme for our lobby this year. We really went all out, and it looks amazing!! We actually won the hall decorating competition and won movie tickets, which we are going to spend watching Harry Potter!!

HSKS 1st Assingment!!

I am soo excited for this swap, it gives me something to keep my mind off test, classes and work for this semester. So here is a little information about me
- I am a Junior at SUNY Oneonta. I am currently the president of the Oneonta Knit-Wits which is the knitting and crocheting club on campus. I have been knitting for 5 years now.
- I also love to do arts and craft projects. My last few creations were, duct tape flowers, newspaper picture frames and a duct tape wallet.
-I don't know how to crochet yet...but im working on it.
-My favorite color is Purple but I do like fuchsia. I love the Lion Brand Store in NYC, its such a cool place to knit and meet new people.
-My birthday is in July and i just turned 20. I don't have my license yet but I live in NYC so i guess that's a good thing lolz.
-This is my first ever swap!! and I love Harry Potter!!
- I definelty do not have the biggest stash, I live in a dorm room for the better part of the year so I have a limited amount of space. My stash is currently a tote and a small bin full of yarn.
-My favorite season is the fall. I love to see the color of the leaves change and the weather is perfect for a light jacket and knitted accessories.
-I really like the Lion Brand Wool-Ease and Vanna's Choice. I haven't had the opportunity or the budget to try different types of yarn yet.
- I love the smell of mangoes lolz i also love to eat them.
-I am fluent in Spanish and both of my parents are from the Dominican Republic.

New Semester!!

Hey guys- its been ages since I've last posted! soo what has happened since then... well I worked over the summer at my school, got "decent" grades for spring semester, became president of the Oneonta Knit-Wits, oh yea and I'm going to Japan for an entire semester on Jan 2, 2011!!!

Wow that's a lot of stuff!!!

Well other than that I just joined the HSKS (Hogwarts Supper Kit Swaps) knit swap on Ravelry. I'm really excited, I've never been part of a swap before =D!!!
